Tornado at the farm

En 2012, une tornade a traversé la région de Mirabel, au Québec. Le lendemain de la catastrophe, j’ai emprunté les routes de campagne près de chez moi munie de mon appareil photo pour documenter les paysages marqués par la destruction, mais surtout par la puissance brute de la nature. Entre terres agricoles bouleversées, saisons compromises et enjeux de reconstruction, cette série porte un regard attentif sur un territoire fragilisé, à la croisée de la résilience humaine et des forces naturelles.

In 2012, a tornado struck the Mirabel region in Quebec. The day after the disaster, I took the rural roads near my home  with my camera to document landscapes shaped by destruction, but above all by the raw power of nature. Between disrupted farmland, threatened growing seasons, and the realities of reconstruction, this series offers a considered view of a fragile territory, where human resilience meets natural forces.
